Paddle through towering Cypress trees in the Sloughs, or bring your binoculars and enjoy an observation platform perfect for bird watching. Insider tip: our recommended kayaking area is at Gentle Pond. The launching area is on the gravel road that runs behind the main office– drive for about a mile, and it’s on the right. The observation platform at Anderson Pond is a great place to download the free Merlin app and identify the dozens of bird species in the area.
