If the tranquility of the great outdoors is what you crave, we’ve found your new favorite spot. Paddle through towering Cypress trees in the Sloughs, or bring your binoculars and enjoy an observation platform perfect for bird watching. Insider tip: our recommended kayaking area is at Gentle Pond. The launching area is on the gravel road that runs behind the main office– drive for about a mile, and it’s on the right. The observation platform at Anderson Pond is a great place to download the free Merlin app and identify the dozens of bird species in the area.
