If you’re looking for something unique to do this Valentine’s Day, plan to attend the Sweetheart Hike on Saturday, Feb. 14th, at 1 PM. It’s not a couples-only event–bring family, friends, or whoever you’d like along to this free, guided hike. Along the hike route, our naturalist will be sharing some of nature’s “love stories.” How does a porcupine choose a mate? What would a Burrowing Owl do to woo his lady friend? Find out these and other unique mating rituals, told in a family-friendly manner, of course. Perhaps you’ll find a new way to say, “Be Mine.” Be prepared for this 1-mile, hilly hike by dressing in layers and wearing sturdy shoes. Meets on the Museum front lawn. Watch Facebook and Instagram for announcements.
