Be a part of ongoing citizen-science efforts—attend John James Audubon State Park’s Monarch Butterfly Migration Mysteries! The program will take place on Sept. 14th and again Sept. 21st from 8-11:30 A.M. Choose either day! Begin your Monarch butterfly journey with an educational presentation at the Audubon Museum, then take your own transportation to a tagging site. We’ll provide the nets for you to try your hand at capturing, tagging, and releasing Monarchs to continue their migration. This citizen-science project endeavors to understand more about this insect amid its declining population. Program begins at the Audubon Museum at 8 A.M. Cost: $5.00 per person; discount for 4 or more in the same family; discount for FOA members.
