The John James Audubon Museum is excited to host its first online presentation by Dr. Roberta J. M. Olson, on Wednesday, January 14, from 6-7:30 P.M. CST.! Roberta Olson received her Ph.D. in Art History from Princeton University. Curator of Drawings Emerita at The New York Historical and Professor Emerita of Art History at Wheaton College in Massachusetts, her interdisciplinary research concerns drawings, Italian Renaissance art, and representations of birds and astronomical phenomena. Among her most recent books are Audubon as Artist: A New Look at “The Birds of America” which she will be discussing in this presentation. She is collaborating with the publisher, Taschen, on a double-elephant-folio-size book of all the Audubon-Havell plates entitled “John James Audubon and The Birds of America.” This event is free to the public and will be accessible through a link that will be posted to our social media pages. A short Q&A will follow the presentation.
