
Experience Kentucky’s birdlife and natural beauty through guided tours, museum exhibits, and engaging wildlife programs! “Audubon WILD’ will take place this Feb. 20-22, 2026. This collaboration between John James Audubon State Park and KY Fish & Wildlife’s ‘Kentucky WILD’ program, will combine wildlife-watching adventures with Audubon’s art. Enjoy a 3.5-hour wildlife-watching adventure led by a Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist and Kentucky State Parks staff. These van tours begin at John James Audubon State Park and will take you to Sloughs WMA, where you will explore the area and search for birds. Explore the rich artistry and history of John James Audubon’s life and work through an Audubon Museum visit. Your admission is included. Choose from several educational presentations: Friday or Saturday evening, you can learn about eagles in Kentucky from a Fish and Wildlife biologist. Saturday evening includes a live bird of prey program. Registration must be made in advance: $45 for Ky WILD members; $50 for non-members; minimum age to participate is 12. Van tours will take place Saturday at either 8 AM or 1:30 PM; Sunday Van tour is 8 AM. You’ll receive a full itinerary upon registration.
