Children ages 6-9 can participate in the Children’s Survival Skills Workshop on Saturday, March 14th from Noon -2:30 PM, at John James Audubon State Park. Each will learn some basic skills to feel less frightened and more confident about being alone or lost. If your child became separated from you and lost in the woods, perhaps knowing a few outdoor skills could aid survival until rescuers came. During this workshop, your child will receive some tips for prepping for an outdoor outing, taking shelter, and for alerting Search & Rescue personnel.
Cost: $12; registration deadline is March 11; Fee is non-refundable after March 11. Workshop will take place rain or shine.
