“Holly Jolly” to film in downtown Henderson beginning January 29

Henderson, KY, January 15, 2026 — Goldenrod Film & TV will begin filming exterior scenes for “Holly Jolly,” a new Christmas comedy, in downtown Henderson starting January 29. Production will take place across Henderson and Owensboro over a one-week schedule, with the crew spending 3 to 4 days in Henderson.

Local extras are being considered. Interested individuals should email a headshot, name, age, phone number, and availability to [email protected], an inbox managed by the production company.

This project is a direct result of the reinstated and expanded Kentucky Entertainment Incentive tax credits and the community’s joining of the West Kentucky Film Commission in 2025, reflecting the region’s growing appeal for film and television production.

“Bringing ‘Holly Jolly’ to downtown Henderson is a festive win for our community, showcasing our historic streetscapes while supporting local jobs, small businesses, and regional tourism,” said Abby Dixon, executive director of the Henderson Tourist Commission. “This production reflects the momentum created by Kentucky’s enhanced film incentives and our partnership with the West Kentucky Film Commission. We are excited to welcome the cast and crew to our storybook town.”
