The Henderson Tourist Commission today announced the appointment of Ellie Kellen as its new marketing director. In this key role, Kellen will grow the Commission’s strategic storytelling initiatives to elevate Henderson’s profile as a premier destination for visitors.
Graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2023, Ellie’s prior experience on the communications team with the Tourism, Arts & Heritage Cabinet in Frankfort and time spent directing the University of Kentucky’s Wildcat News make her an excellent choice for this position. With a proven track record in developing digital storytelling campaigns, her passion for promoting unique local experiences and her creative approach align seamlessly with the goals of the Henderson Tourist Commission.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Ellie to our team,” said Abby Dixon, executive director of the Henderson Tourist Commission. “Her dynamic skillset and obvious passion for our community pairs well with her deep appreciation of destination marketing and the tourism industry as a whole. Ellie will play a pivotal role in showcasing Henderson’s diverse attractions and enhancing our community’s appeal to visitors.”
Kellen will begin in her role on Jan. 2, 2024.
“I am thrilled to join the Henderson Tourist Commission as marketing director,” said Kellen. “I cannot wait to share my love for Henderson with both locals and visitors alike. I am excited to contribute to the growth of Henderson and showcase our town as a must-visit destination.”
The Henderson Tourist Commission is confident that Ellie’s strategic vision and dedication to excellence will further strengthen Henderson’s position as a special destination– a place worth visiting.
